A spreadsheet kept for years, and it kept drifting. This replaces it with an app on the home server that accepts the spreadsheet’s own exports. Each person has a ledger, a household view puts them together, and shared costs settle against reimbursements.
Amounts are stored to the cent, imports are checked against years of history, and it works with no internet at all.
